An Emerging Threat.

Small UAS has activity has become an emerging threat to US national security and the technologies to defeat them is growing every year. By utilizing an effective kill chain of Detect, Track, Identify, and Defeat, private companies throughout the globe have developed effective sensors, equipment, and software, to tackle the UAS threat. Through my experience in the military and employment in the private sector, I have had the opportunity to develop, test, build, and train on some of the latest counter UAS technologies. I hope to further my career by employing this knowledge to our service members around the world, as well as expanding to public safety officials stateside, to combat this emerging threat.

Counter UAS Experience

Radar Detection

Experience in deploying and installing fixed radar equipment to masts, lifts, and stands.

Worked with 2D and 3D radar systems and their graphic user interfaces.

Performed testing and evaluation of several types of radars (spinners, 2D, 3D) and run red team operations to gather data of performance.

Trained US personnel on radar capabilities within a counter UAS system.

C2 Integration

Experience in utilization and troubleshooting of C2 software for full counter UAS kill chain.

Understanding of systems engineering and open structure APO to tie in multiple sensors to one C2 system.

EO/IR Camera Systems

Experience in deploying and installing EO/IR camera systems.

Trained US personnel on camera capabilities within a counter UAS system to include troubleshooting and replacement.

Performed testing in conjunction with radar systems for a slew-to-cue capability.

Hardware Integration

I have been getting my hands dirty my whole life and love understanding how things work. I enjoy getting my hands dirty and am not afraid to be in the field building, testing, and training on systems.

Experience with mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring, cabling, and mechanical design.

Designs always needs to be based on war-fighter requirements and functionality.

RF Jamming

Experience in deploying and installing directional jamming antennas (ECS).

Understanding of RF capabilities of UAS as well as jammer effectiveness.

Performed testing and evaluation of jammers within a UAS system.

Understand US and international laws concerning jamming as well as its requirements.

Red Teaming and Training

It has been one of my greatest joys to have trained US service members on counter UAS technologies in an effort to keep them safe abroad.

Developed training guides and products to educate the end user.

Developed real world exercises to enhance training experience for service members.
